It is hoped that over the coming weeks/months we can have information of local interest for villagers and ex-villagers alike - hopefully it can become the 21st century 'village green notice board' of events happening in YOUR village/parish.
As it is YOUR village/parish then please feel free to "have your say" - with this in mind the site will only ever be as good or as bad as the comments and info I receive. Pages can only be updated regularly if YOU make comments or supply information. So if you have any village events coming up e.g. Village Fete, Barbecue, etc., let me know - if you have any personal events coming up e.g. new baby, 50th birthday, retirement, silver wedding anniversary etc., let me know. If I don't know I can't add it to the site.
If you have a hobby you're passionate about and would like to write a couple of paragraphs about to share with other then let me know.
Local business's are welcome to link their web sites to this site or indeed if they haven't a web site they can contact me and I'll at least manage to put some information about them in that section.
The "Parish Council" page contains Parish Council Minutes (in downloadable printable form) for each month once accepted as well as any other events planned.
"History and Photos" will, over time, contain descriptions and photos of all districts of Dalton-le-dale and will be mainly pictorial. I also hope to have pictures of any activities taking place in the village - BUT - I need someone to send me the photos otherwise the event will never be included.
